About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the state of Washington with a master’s degree in couple and family therapy from Seattle University. I also hold a bachelor’s degree with a double major in philosophy and film studies from the University of Iowa. My interest in how meaning is created and communicated accompanies my approach to psychotherapy.

I hold certificates in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for Trauma through the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute; basic and family mediation through the King County Dispute Resolution Center; Essentials of Co-parenting with Karen Bonnell, and am a member of American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, Washington Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, Washington Mental Health Counselors Association, and Collaborative Professionals of Washington.

I came to this work because I was curious how individuals and communities move past conflict or trauma to a state of well-being and authenticity.

“Life is not what it's supposed to be. It's what it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.”
