My Approach
I believe in the innate capacity of all living things to move towards healing and growth, given the right environment. Based on your interest and my experience, we will work collaboratively with your individual circumstances, strengths, and core values, to identify areas for growth in support of well-being and a peaceful existence.
I can offer you concepts and interventions from a variety of theoretical orientations to support you, drawing heavily - though not exclusively – from narrative therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and attachment theories, as well as neurobiology. I firmly believe conflict and crisis can be a uniquely enriching opportunity to grow.
I am curious by nature and a life-long learner; as such I will often suggest films, books, podcasts, creative exercises or rituals as potential resources for you as I come across them. I work from a multicultural & justice-oriented context; am LGQBT+ friendly, & support you in your individual belief system.
All my work is rooted in mindfulness and loving kindness. I acknowledge these practices originate in Buddhist psychology and philosophy and am deeply grateful to the people and communities who have made the wisdom available.
